As a longtime journalist and knitter, I can craft both compelling copy and cabled sweaters with equal ease.

Beginning my career in a changing media world, I have a solid foundation as a reporter for daily newspapers in the New York metro area, and also regularly write for magazines, websites and blogs. Specializing in real estate, home design and healthcare, I’m currently a regular contributor to Forbes, NewsdayNY and Hamptons Cottages & Gardens and DOTmed Healthcare Business News. My work has also appeared in Greenwich Time and The Stamford Advocate, on the hotel review site Oyster.com and on the personal finance website MainStreet.com.

In 2014, while working as a freelance writer, I launched Indie Untangled, a marketplace and blog that promotes the work of independent fiber artisans, including yarn dyers, pattern designers and crafters of knitting-related accessories. I write and manage all web content and social media, write a weekly e-newsletter that goes out to more than 6,000 subscribers and organize events that draw hundreds of attendees. I was also the knitter on Humans of New York.

I call New York City home. When I’m not writing or knitting, I enjoy traveling, reading (things like New York magazine and Tom Perrotta novels), going to Broadway and off-Broadway shows, trying out new restaurants and exploring craft whiskeys and gins.
